Overview

This page controls the mode presets available on the device. This mode determines the fan speed, and starting voltage/frequency for the autotune process. The device will then adjust based on temperature to reach the highest hashrate possible given the temperature and fan speed provided.

Quiet Mode

  • Limits Fan Speed to 25%

  • Tunes to 60C Asic Temperature

Balanced Mode

  • Limits Fan Speed to 35%

  • Tunes to 60C Asic Temperature

  • Default mode after first setup, or after overheat mode has been activated.

Turbo Mode

  • Limits Fan Speed to 95%

  • Tunes to 60C Asic Temperature

  • Limits Power to 25 Watts

  • Limits Voltage and Frequency to safe operating levels

Auto Tune Overview

Autotune Works in these steps:

Pre-heat: For the first 15 minutes after power-on, no changes are made to allow the device to reach stable temperature.

Raise preset to target Temperature: Once pre-heat ends, the loop increases core clock and supply voltage in small steps until either (a) the die temperature hits the 60 °C set-point, or (b) any hard limit for frequency, voltage, or power is encountered.

Low hashrate → increase voltage only: If temperature is within the ±2 °C band but observed hashrate is still < 80 % of its computed target, the algorithm raises voltage (≈ +10 mV) while leaving frequency unchanged to recover performance.

Over Temp: Whenever die temperature exceeds 62 °C, voltage and frequency is stepped down.
